ATU Model United Nations 2026

Hvordan kan det være så svært at finde en løsning på klimaforandringerne? 

Hvorfor tager det 6, 8 eller 10 internationale topmøder, før der endelig kommer en gensidigt overholdt våbenhvile i Syrien? 

Hvorfor er det så svært at blive enige om, at alle skal have lige rettigheder?

Spørgsmålene er mange, når man går fra national til international politik. Og det bliver ikke nemmere at besvare, når man ser på de forskellige interesser, der er på spil. 

Siden 1945 har FN forsøgt at være det forum, hvori internationale konflikter bliver løst. Men FN har siden årtusindskiftet måtte se sig handlingslammet og uden reel autoritet, når konflikter er opstået eller blusset op.
Vær med, når der igen afholdes ATU | MUN konference og sid med ved forhandlingsbordet, når nogle af verdens store udfordringer skal diskuteres og behandles i FNs forskellige råd.

Climate Refugees - The United Nations Human Rights Council (UNHRC)

At ATUMUN 2026, a topic on the agenda will be Climate Refugees. Delegates will discuss the legal status and recognition of climate refugees and the protection of climate refugees’ human rights considering the vastly increasing number of people forcibly displaced by climate change related events. This will be done int the United Nations Human Rights Council (UNHRC). This a UN intergovernmental body responsible for addressing human rights violations as well as promoting and protecting human rights. Furthermore, the committee holds crisis meetings in response to urgent human rights situations and it authorises commissions and missions to document violations of human rights. 

Disarmament - The United Nations Security Council (UNSC)

At ATUMUN 2026 the Security Council will discuss the topic of disarmament. Since its beginning the United Nations has made it a high priority to reduce, and ultimately eliminate, the use and production of weapons of mass destruction, nuclear, and biological weapons. The Delegates will navigate through numerous complex political, sovereign, and economic challenges through the Security Council. A council responsible for maintaining international peace and security. Your efforts are essential for continuing the UN’s mission to promote international peace and security by confronting the most severe threats to humankind.
